Acne treatment with dermatologist

3/5 - (2 votes)

Are you seeking for the best acne treatment with dermatologist? Do you know what acne is and how it appears on your face? Acne occurs when hair follicles under the skin are clogged. The oil that helps keep skin from dying out is called “sebum.” Sebum and dead skin cells lead to the formation of blemishes, usually known as pimples or zits. Acne most often appears on the face but can also occur on the forehead, chest, shoulders, and even the back. Generally, acne is a common skin condition that people of all ages get, especially teenagers and young adults. In fact, acne is not a harmful health condition, but it can cause emotional distress, anxiety, and result in low self-esteem. So, it is very important to get acne treatment with dermatologist. Let’s read this useful article about acne treatment.

Acne: causes and types

Before following the acne treatment with dermatologist, we want to know the causes of acne. Doctors believe that the following can cause the development of acne:

  • When the amount of oil production in the pores increases,

  • When the dead skin cells assemble in the pores,

  • And when bacteria grow too much in the pores,

Remember that some factors like hormones, medications, age, weight, gender, and genetics may increase the risk of developing acne. That’s why you should be careful about following acne treatment at home. You also need to know that factors such as stress, pollution, smoking, high humidity, too much scrub, and an unhealthy diet can make this skin problem worse. Some types of acne include:

  • Whitehead: This type of acne occurs when clogged hair follicles stay under your skin. So, it will produce something like a white bump.

  • Blackhead: This type of acne refers to the clogged hair follicles that come to the surface of your skin and open up. These follicles look black on your skin, not because they are dirty, but because the air changes the color of sebum.

  • Papule: They are some lesions, usually swollen, which seem small and pink bumps on your skin. They can also be a little painful and sensitive to the touch.

  • Pimple or pustule: Another type of acne involves papules topped with white or yellow pustules. These papules can also have a red base.

  • Nodules: Nodules are deep in your skin. They are also large and solid lesions that cause pain.

Reasons for acne treatment with dermatologist

Acne can be mild, moderate, or severe. So, it’s better to see a dermatologist to find out the exact type of acne and follow the best acne treatment prescription. Acne treatment with dermatologist not only improve the appearance of your skin, but it can also encourage your confidence. Considering your skin type and other effective factors, a dermatologist will cure your acne. Acne treatment products usually have ingredients like benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, niacinamide, green tea, and retinol.

How is acne treatment with dermatologist?

Acne treatment with dermatologist is vital for teens because it may affect their self-confidence. About 80% of people aged 11 to 30 may get at least a mild form of acne. Actually, some people in their forties and fifties may have these skin problems, too. There are many acne treatment products, but which one is the best? Acne treatment with dermatologist may include prescription medications. It is very important to follow the prescription exactly. Your hair follicles are filled with several glands. When too much material clogs in the hair follicles, acne occurs. If a dermatologist diagnoses the reason for prose clogging, he or she can prescribe a suitable product. Your pores can be clogged for these reasons:

  • Sebum: Sebum is an oily material that supplies a protective barrier for your skin.

  • Bacteria: Your skin naturally has small quantities of bacteria. Excessive bacteria can clog your pores.

  • Dead skin cells: To make a room for the growth of more cells, your skin cells are shedding all the time. So, if they don’t release correctly, dead skin cells can be stuck in hair follicles.

What is the most effective way to cure acne?

Substances clog your pores and then block your hair follicles. This process creates a pimple or lesion. It also makes you feel pain and swelling. Therefore, you can see inflammation through the skin, such as redness around a pimple. Before using an acne treatment cream, you should find out your acne type. Also, remember that acne treatment with dermatologist is always the best way. The active ingredients in products are different from each other. You need to know that each product is made for a reason. Some acne treatment products just work by killing acne-causing bacteria; others are for removing excess oil from the skin; and some of them remove dead skin cells. If you can’t visit a dermatologist by the way, go to a pharmacy and buy some acne treatment products.
